Primary Arms (PA) has a vibrant optics line with a good reputation. They’re coming on strong for 2025 with a bunch of new releases starting with the PLx HTX-1 red dot sight. Not only does it have some great specs, but its also PA’s first American made optic, something that isn’t so common in the optics field today.

In 2023, Beretta killed the 3032 and 21A Bobcat, much to my dismay, even though I own multiples of each. I love tip-up guns a lot and thought this was the end. Then, boom, SHOT 2024 gave us the 30X. I was excited to see a modernized Tomcat but was dismayed to see a lack of an updated Bobcat. I considered my dismay dismissed as Beretta had released the rimfire .22LR 20X.
The Beretta 20X has given the Bobcat the X treatment.

Former President Joe Biden commuted the life sentence of American Indian activist and convicted double murderer Leonard Peltier just minutes before leaving the White House Monday. Peltier was in federal prison for murdering FBI Special Agents Jack R. Coler and Ronald A. Williams on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation nearly 50 years ago.
Peltier, who is now 80 and suffering poor health, said “It's finally over. I'm going home,” according to an advocacy group.

A county judge in Vermont has thrown out a case where the plaintiff argued that his arrest for possessing a firearm magazine holding more than the state government permitted was unconstitutional under the Second Amendment.
Max Misch, a self-proclaimed white nationalist (which has nothing to do with the application of the law), was arrested nearly six years ago for possessing so-called “high-capacity” magazines. He took the state to court, arguing that magazines holding more than 10 rounds are in “common use” and, thereby, protected under the Second Amendment.

In many states, the law requires that if you are stopped by law enforcement during a traffic stop, you must inform the officer that you have a concealed firearm in the vehicle. These laws are seemingly put in place for the safety of officers, although it seems unlikely that anyone intending to shoot an officer would actually disclose their weapon; rather, only law-abiding citizens would do so.
A problem arises, however, when the officer initiating the stop does not know how to safely handle a firearm.

I'm not going to lie. I love going to different precision rifle training programs and venues.
