It brought modularity, balance, and performance together in a platform that many thought they could evolve with. Fast forward a few years, and MDT has doubled down with their most competition-focused chassis yet — the ACC Elite.

You could argue what classic military semi-auto pistol was the best. The Browning Hi-Power has a lot going for it. So does the Colt Model 1911. The Luger P08 scores a lot of style points; the Walther P38 wins on features. But if you’re talking about military revolvers, there’s only one that combines effectiveness with a long lifespan in military arsenals of a wide variety of users. Based on that criteria, the Smith & Wesson Model 1917 is the greatest military revolver of all time, and it’s not even close.

Around seven years back, Canada’s Arctic Rangers finally got their hands on long-awaited new rifles—and now, despite the expense of those guns, they reportedly need to send them all back for repairs. After not even a decade in the field, it seems the stocks on the Colt Canada C19 are not up to snuff.

During World War II, the German Army introduced a new concept in universal or general-purpose machine guns. The MG 34 and the MG 42 were relatively lightweight guns that could be operated from bipods. They featured a quick-change barrel system and could use a soft mount on a tripod. After the war, as the dust settled, many nations, including the United States, examined German weapon technology. The U.S. was already very familiar with German weapons and was particularly interested in the designs and concepts aiming to replace its existing models, the M1919A4 and M1919A6.

I don’t know who runs Ruger’s social media, but I personally wouldn’t use a black and white photo (see at the bottom of this article) to illustrate the new model of the Mark IV 22/45 with a description mentioning its “bold color-matched details”. You don't need 50,000 rounds unless you're leading a fire team. However, you do need enough ammo to stay trained up and proficient, defend your home, and weather the next panic-buying or supply disruption.
